What CertForged actually is

CertForged is a browser-based simulator for the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam. There's a real terminal, a real (simulated) filesystem, real (simulated) services and users, and immediate grading on every task. No VM. No installation.

What to do first

Open Study in the top nav.

Pick the Essential Tools domain and start with File Operations.

Read the Concept tab, then click Practice and try the first task.

Once you've tried a few practice items, the Mastery tab unlocks — that's where graded scoring happens.

What's free vs. paid

The first two topics (File Operations and Text Files) are free for anyone with an account. To unlock the other 31 topics, practice mode, and timed exams, subscribe to Pro on the Pricing page.

Tip

Don't binge-read. Spend 30 minutes on one topic, do the mastery tasks, and let spaced repetition surface it again in a few days. You'll retain 5x more than reading 10 topics in a row.
