Ansible (EX294) practice labs — the path to RHCE

Red Hat restructured its certifications: EX294 is now “Red Hat Certified Advanced System Administrator in Ansible,” and RHCE is the designation you earn by stacking it on RHCSA — no separate RHCE exam anymore. If you hold RHCSA, this one exam is what stands between you and RHCE.

The exam itself is a different animal from RHCSA: Ansible, end to end — writing playbooks from a control node that configure a fleet of managed machines. Practicing it properly takes a real multi-node environment, and setting one up yourself is half the battle.

We’re considering building an RHCE track: real multi-node lab environments in your browser — a control node, managed nodes, real Ansible — with graded, exam-style tasks like the RHCSA simulator has today. Labs spin up when you sit down and reset with one click when you break them.

One scoping note: the track targets EX294 v10 — the current exam release, on RHEL 10 and Ansible Automation Platform 2.5 — same as the rest of CertForged’s RHEL 10 content. The older v9 (RHEL 9) release isn’t planned for the beta; if you’re booked on v9, mention it in the note below so we know that demand exists.

Whether we build it depends on how many people want it. That’s what this page is: no payment, no commitment — just a signal. If the track happens, the waitlist gets first access.
